GREATER NAPANEE CONNECT
BLOCK PARTY KIT BORROWER AGREEMENT

Thank you for helping build a stronger, more connected Greater Napanee.

The Block Party Kit is provided by Greater Napanee Connect to support neighbourhood gatherings, block parties, and community-building events. By signing this agreement, the Borrower agrees to the following terms and conditions.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

A refundable security deposit of $100 is required prior to kit pick-up.

The deposit will be returned within fourteen (14) days of the kit being returned and inspected, provided:

• All items have been returned.
• Equipment is returned clean and in good condition.
• No excessive cleaning, repair, replacement, or administrative costs have been incurred.

Greater Napanee Connect reserves the right to retain all or part of the deposit if equipment is returned damaged, excessively dirty, incomplete, or late.

USE OF EQUIPMENT

The Borrower agrees to:

• Use the equipment safely and responsibly.
• Ensure equipment is supervised at all times during the event.
• Protect equipment from weather, theft, vandalism, and misuse.
• Return all items in the condition in which they were received, reasonable wear and tear excepted.
• Immediately notify Greater Napanee Connect of any loss, damage, theft, or safety concerns involving the equipment.

The Block Party Kit is intended for free community gatherings, neighbourhood events, and community-building activities. It may not be used for ticketed events, private parties, or activities inconsistent with the mission and values of Greater Napanee Connect.

PERMITS, APPROVALS, AND INSURANCE

The Borrower is responsible for obtaining any permits, permissions, road closure approvals, public health approvals, insurance, or other authorizations required for their event.

Greater Napanee Connect may provide guidance and resources but assumes no responsibility for obtaining or maintaining these approvals.

LOSS OR DAMAGE

The Borrower assumes responsibility for all equipment while it is in their possession.

If equipment is lost, stolen, destroyed, or damaged beyond normal wear and tear, the Borrower may be responsible for repair or replacement costs, whether or not those costs exceed the security deposit.

A replacement value schedule is attached to and forms part of this agreement.

LATE RETURNS

Equipment must be returned by the agreed-upon return date and time.

Greater Napanee Connect reserves the right to charge a late return fee of $25 per day unless alternate arrangements have been approved in advance.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

The Borrower understands that participation in community events involves certain risks.

The Borrower assumes all responsibility for the use of the Street Party Kit and for any activities associated with their event.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Borrower releases and holds harmless Greater Napanee Connect, its directors, officers, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and representatives from any claims, actions, damages, losses, costs, or liabilities arising from the use of the equipment or the event.

CHECK-OUT AND CHECK-IN

A complete inventory checklist will be completed at pick-up and return.

The Borrower agrees that the inventory checklist and condition report form part of this agreement.
